P90X2 Fuel Your Performance Nutrition Guide

P90X2 is the newest workout from Beachbody and the result of 2 years of research and development by a qualified team of experts in fitness and nutrition. I am excited about the P90X Fuel Your Performance Nutrition Guide because it addresses a broad spectrum of eating styles and needs.

Everyone has a different way of eating these days.  With the new P90X2 Nutrition Guide, you’ll be able to choose from 27 eating plans to find one that suits your needs.

Instead of a typical meal plan, like you saw in P90X, this nutrition guide contains many recipes for breakfasts, lunch, dinner, soups, salads and Shakeology. Beachbody called on the expertise of many professional chefs, including Tony Horton’s person chef, Melissa Costello. The new recipes address many dietary approaches too, ranging from gain-free to vegan too!

You’ll also find healthy new options to satisfy the required amount of fats, protein, snacks and more.

The all new P90X2 Nutrition Guide also includes three calorie levels:

  • 1,800
  • 2,400
  • 3,000

You may notice that the fat requirement is a bit higher in each level. Don’t worry! It’s been increased for a reason: good dietary fat is important to your health! Trust the experts on this one. You can also switch plans as you need to, based on the number of calories required as you work your way through the P90X2 workouts.

This nutrition guide has three great plans:

  • Fat Shredder 2.0
  • Energy Booster 2.0
  • Endurance Maximizer 2.0

Be sure to read the Nutrition guide first because there is a section devoted to helping you figure out which way you should be eating. Then, you just follow it!

Now for the great news! Each calorie level and plan includes both the vegan and grain-free options. Other options include ditching the portion lists and instead, look at the calories, carbs, protein and fat lists charts. That way, you can choose and measure your foods.
