Active Maternity Workout Series with Autumn Calabrese

What is Active Maternity Exercise Series?

Autumn Calabrese is the creator of this pregnancy workout routine. She is a celebrity trainer and the creator of the successful 21 Day Fix workout program.

This exercise series includes four workouts. As a complete guide to prenatal workouts and postnatal workout, Active Maternity consists of two rounds of eight exercises. The workouts are broken down by trimester to target the needs of each pregnancy stage.

  • 1st Trimester:  Get Stable: The focus of this prenatal workout is strength training for the core, lower body, back and shoulders.  These muscles are key to reducing discomfort during pregnancy. (34 minutes)
  • 2nd Trimester:  Get Strong: Same as the first trimester. (23 minutes)
  • 3rd Trimester: Get Ready: This Active Maternity workout is focused on holding each move for ten seconds. That’s about the same amount of time for each push in the last act of labor. These prenatal exercises help prepare your body for labor. (26 minutes)
  • Postnatal:  Get it Back: This postnatal workout is a perfect pick me up to help get your body back in shape. It’s filled with squats, planks and lunges. (28 minutes)
