You’ll need some equipment to get the most out of Power 90:

  • Push up stands: optional. Push up stands are helpful if you want to intensify the pushup workouts.

  • Chair: Used for chair dips that work your triceps.

The Power 90 Sculpt DVD is structured as a circuit workout and takes 30 minutes to complete. Who doesn’t have 30 minutes to set aside for exercise! This means that you do three rounds of exercises. Tony Horton starts out Power 90 Sculpt with nearly 6 minutes of stretching. The stretching routine is very comprehensive and covers all the parts of your body: neck, shoulders, chest, arms, lower back, waist, and legs. The stretching feels greats, will be welcome relief for your body, and prepares your body for the exercises. Tony shows you how to stay in your stretching comfort zone or go a little bit further.

Before starting each exercise, you are shown exactly how to do the exercise by 2 demonstrators. So don’t worry if you never did a particular exercise before. During the exercises, Tony shows you again how to perform each exercise and gives you tips throughout the routine. He always stresses the important of good form so pay attention! Tony knows exactly what he is talking about. You can also take a break if needed by hitting the pause button on your DVD player.

You will be doing exercises like pushups, simple standard bicep curls, military press for shoulders, lunges and squats, tricep kickbacks, shoulder flies, and much more.

The exercises are straightforward and you can do the number of reps that feels comfortable for you, especially if you are just starting out. A timer displays on-screen indicating how much time is left for the entire fitness DVD as well as each exercise.

Tony is enthusiastic and inspiring. Even though Power 90 is a 90-day fitness program, most people see results within 21 days or so. Power 90 Sculpt Circuit is very structured and gives you an overall body workout. Tony also teaches you good body mechanics so when you are finished with Power 90, you can easily transition to a more intense workout like P90X if you want to.

Does Power 90 by Beachbody really work? Like any fitness program, you get out of it what you put into it. If you stick to the Power 90 program, actually do it 6 days a week and follow the nutritional plan, you can get great results.

Power 90 In Home Boot Camp is aimed at people who are just getting started with a fitness program. Power 90 will make you sweat and leave you a little sore the next day! Tony Horton makes the workout intense. He is a great trainer and very motivating.

What equipment do you need? To do Power 90, you will need at least a resistance band. You can also use dumbbells for the sculpting workout that is part of the program. Power 90 comes with one FREE resistance band!

The workout routines consists of 3 circuits. Each circuit is 35 – 40 minutes. It is challenging to go through the circuits! You also get 2 Ab Ripper routines. Take a look at Ab Ripper 100. It is good for beginners and easy to learn. Ab Ripper 100 is also effective at working your abs in a systematic way for maximum effectiveness. The exercises are familiar ones and you do 10 ab exercises for 10 repetitions each.

Many people who want to do P90X do Power 90 instead. P90X is a very extreme fitness program and if you are just starting out, I do not advise that you do it. If you are considering P90X, I recommend you do Power 90 to prepare for it.

If you are just getting started with a fitness program, P90 In Home Fitness program is a good choice for you. If your fitness level is intermediate to advanced, then Power 90 is not the fitness program for you. Try P90X or INSANITY.
