Ramp It Up is the second fitness workout DVD in Debbie Sieber’s Slim in 6 fitness and weight loss program. You move on to the Ramp It Up exercises once you have mastered the exercises in Phase 1, Start It Up.
Slim in 6 Ramp It Up really kicks the exercise up a notch, with nearly 48 minutes of fitness that begin with a 4.5 minute warm up. During the warmup, Debbie Siebers takes you through moves like reaching up and over, reaching across the body, half squats with arm movements, and step touch with hands on the hips. Debbie Siebers does a great job of showing you how to do the exercises and is very easy to follow. She also lets you know exactly how many repetitions remain for every exercise.
After the warmup, you will be toning up your body with moves like step-back lunges, medium stance squats, and standing bent leg exercises. Debbie is encouraging and lets you know which muscle group you are working. With Slim in 6 Ramp It Up, focusing on proper form for all exercises is more important then the quantity of exercises you perform. If you cannot perform a particular exercise, don’t worry! Debbie Siebers always suggests alternative moves that you can do until you master it!
Nearly halfway through Slim in 6 Ramp It Up, Debbie switches to exercises that use resistance bands. You stand on the band and pull the handles in a criss-cross manner across your lower body to launch into a series of back exercises. Debbie Siebers then moves you through shoulder exercises. She gives great instruction on how to increase and decrease the resistance on the resistance bands.
The final few minutes of the Ramp It Up consists of stretching yoga exercises, an excellent way to end any workout! You muscles really need a nice stretch after a challenging workout.
Slim in 6 is perfect for beginners that have never exercised, or for someone who has not exercised in a very long time. Slim in 6 is not for intermediate or advanced fitness people – it would not be challenging enough for the advanced fitness person.
Take your time to understand the purpose of each exercise and use body awareness. If you stick with Slim in 6 and a proper nutrition program, you should see significant physical changes in your body!
