Meal Replacement Shakes Before or After P90X Workout

Do you burn out halfway through your P90X or INSANITY workout and have a hard time finishing? When your body does not have the right fuel, you may not even make it through your P90X workout! To solve this, try drinking a meal replacement shake before or after any strenuous exercise.

To get the most out of your P90X, Insanity, or TurboFire, it’s crucial to give your body the nutrients it needs. You can get the most from all your hard work with a simple pre-workout  shake.

Make sure you have the energy required to get through your daily Beachbody workout by drinking a nutrition rich shake beforehand.

Pre-Workout Shake

4 oz. water
4 oz. orange juice
1 scoop ice
1 scoop Beachbody Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

Blend it all up for a power shake. Serve immediately. Will help you power through your entire workout!

Meal Replacement Shake Snack

Whether you are just getting started with working out, or at an advanced fitness level, you can also use meal replacement shakes as a great way for you meet your daily caloric intake. You can use a shake as a mid-day snack too. Keep your meal replacement shake interesting by making fun recipes! Don’t forget to include the calories in your daily intake.

Mid-Day Shake

8 oz. water (or non-fat milk)
1 scoop ice
1 scoop Beachbody Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake
1 shot brewed coffee
1/2 banana (great source of energy and contain fiber, magnesium, and potassium)

Looks like a nice thick chocolate milk drink. It’s light so you won’t fall alsleep in the afternoon! Remember, the more things you add to the shake, the more calories!

Post-Workout Shake

When you do advanced strength training  like P90X or TurboFire, you muscles break down, you burn calories and sweat! You need to eat food post workout for muscle recovery and rehydration.  Nutritious shakes can take care of all of that.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Shakeology

1-1/2 scoops Chocolate Shakeology® powder
1 Tbsp. almond or peanut butter (or to taste)
1 banana
1 cup ice
8 oz. water

Chocolate Mocha

1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
1 cup cold coffee (cool the brewed coffee over ice first)
1/2 cup water; or nonfat milk; soy, rice, or almond milk
Ice to taste
Tip: Add cinnamon and nutmeg for a cappuccino-flavored shake!
