First, Shaun T gave us Insanity and pushed you past your limits with workouts packed with plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training moves. No equipment or weights needed! His newest fitness program, THE ASYLUM, will have you performing at your peak, building speed, coordination, agility, and power.
Whether or not you completed a round of Insanity, you may be wondering about whether or not you should do THE ASYLUM workout and what the difference is between Insanity and Asylum.
Here are the differences between these two intense workout programs:
Insanity
Insanity is a 60-day, intense fitness program aimed at improving total body conditioning and cardio vascular endurance. Using the Max Interval Training system,– 3 minutes of high-intensity followed by 30 seconds of rest- you benefit from very fast changes in your body composition.
Since Insanity doesn’t use any weights, your muscles won’t grow in size but they will improve in power. You use only your body weight as resistance and no other equipment is used.
The 60-day nutrition plan teaches you how to eat for the duration of the program and thereafter with balanced nutritious meals and snacks.
The Asylum
The Asylum is a 30-day sports-specific training program based on pro-athlete type drills. If you want to run faster and jump higher, this workout can get you there.
Using sports progression drills, you will stay engaged every moment to improve your power, form, and focus.
With new equipment like the Speed Rope and Agility Ladder, you’ll burn calories like crazy and become quicker on your feet. The 14-day Get Shredded plan is designed to give you some simple principles to jump-start your weight loss and eat healthier by making a few small changes in your life.
With weights, resistance bands, and a chin-up bar, you will do the hardest strength workouts ever! Dig Deep is an understatement!
Whether you do Insanity or The Asylum, stick with it and you’ll be in the best shape of your life.
