Extreme Abs is just 16 minutes but will give you the tight, lean abs you always wanted. You do Extreme Abs halfway through the Chalean Extreme Push Phase. With Chalean Extreme 90-day fitness program, you progress through three phases:
- Burn Phase – you’ll push your musles to failure in just 10 – 12 reps and get ready to see new muscle definition.
- Push Phase – you’ll push your musles beyond their comfort zone while you develop lean muscle.
- Lean Phase -you’ll see major fat loss as you work your upper body, lower body, and core – all at the same time!
Chalene Johnson starts the Extreme Abs workout with a Moving Cat yoga exercise to warm up your whole core to prepare for what’s to come! There is a modifier on the Chalean Extreme DVD for those that are new to the program or if your abs are not too strong yet.
After the warmup, Chalene takes you through some tight tummy crunching contractions – that’s just the start! You’ll be defining your entire mid section with this workout! Chalene loves those slow repetitions too! She knows the importance of building lean muscle so you burn more calories even after your workout is done!
You’ll be doing lying down criss-crosses, v-ups, ankle crosses with legs in the air, a crazy swim exercise that will really make your abs burns and much more like tuck and extend.
There is a countdown timer shown on the screen, but believe me, you won’t have much time to look at it! You’ll be concentrating hard on getting those ab exercises done. These Chalean Extreme Abs exercises are extreme, but extremely effective.
