Does P90X Really Work?

November 5, 2009 By Coach Lisa

P90X back and armI hear this question all the time, “Does P90X really work?” We are talking about the popular Beachbody 90-day extreme exercise program with Tony Horton that claims to get you in the best shape of your life. It’s a fun and challenging way to exercise at home without the high cost of going to a gym or hiring a fitness trainer.

For just $119.95, P90X includes a set of 12 DVD’s, Fitness Guide, 3-phase nutrition plan, calendar for tracking of your workout progress, and free online access to fitness tools and community support. Each DVD will have you doing a different challenging workout, like working on your arms and shoulder, focusing on your core, yoga moves, back and chest, biceps and plyometrics. When you do this extreme fitness program, you’ll need to devote at least one hour per day, 6 days per week to perform the exercise routines.

All the exercises are led by expert fitness trainer Tony Horton. If you can’t perform the exercises at an extreme level, there is a modifier for each DVD that shows you a modified approach to the exercise.

Get the body you always wanted!

  • Buy P90X 90-day at-home fitness program
Includes 2 exclusive FREE bonus DVDs from P90X One on One series!

The real question is not “does P90X really work”, but “will P90X work for you?” It will work for anyone who is willing to commit to 90 days of workouts 6 days per week. It will work for anyone who is also willing to follow a the healthy nutrition plan and avoid nasty food that makes you sluggish and fat.

Sure, there are lots of people that this or any exercise program does not work well for. I know many of these people. Does this describe you?

  • NOT willing to commit to a 90-day fitness program
  • NOT willing to stop eating crappy food
  • NOT willing to set aside at least 1 hour per day
  • Always makes excuses about why you cannot workout

If that describes you, then you probably will never find a workout program that “works” for you. The problem is that you won’t “work” the program.

If you want it to work for you, then you need to power through it and stop thinking about it. You can easily think your way out of your workout.

Does P90X really work? YES! If you want to get in great shape, lose weight, and actually be healthy, then make the decision and stick to it. Tony Horton designed this workout with a purpose – to help people transcend what they have achieved in the past. The ONLY way to do that is to JUST DO IT!

Commit, decide, succeed. You can do this!
