Does muscle confusion really work? Just ask Ryan, a long-time gym rat who finally committed to muscle confusion with P90X!
Before starting the P90X home-fitness program, he was tired, lethargic, and out of shape. He knew he could be fit, but also knew he was not fit, and needed something to get fit!
Even after years of going to the gym, he just wasn’t getting the results he wanted. This problem is common to people who do the same routine for long periods of time (months/years) but hit a plateau without results.
With muscle confusion, your body is constantly challenged by the changing, adaptive moves. That’s how muscle confusion works to help your body get to the maximum potential.
Ryan is no expert but he had the P90X infomercial enough times where he had to take a serious look at the program. It seemed very legit and the cast members where working hard. It looked like a tough workout that was performed in a systematic way to get results.
The P90X workouts were very appealing and looked like fun: pull-ups, pushups, calisthenics, and tons of other moves that would confuse anyone’s muscles! After buy P90X and starting the program, his favorite was the Plyometrics! All that jumping side-to-side and up and down! Although the moves were quick and required agility, he love it. The Yoga X was a real eye-opener too. Thinking it would be easy, he found that he was so wrong but the Yoga X was still amazing!
After 90 days of P90X, Ryan’s results were astounding. When he looked at day 1 and then day 90 pictures, he loved what he saw. He lost in the love handle area and got tons of muscle definition.
Now Ryan is probably a lot like you. He is not a fitness expert and doesn’t know much about muscle confusion. All he knows is that P90X works and it uses muscle confusion! He has seen more results in 90 days of P90X than all the years of working out on his own in the gym.
