The Insanity Max Interval Sports Training DVD is for you if you like to do extremely difficult exercises! Shaun T. starts the Interval Sports training with a 6 minutes warm up, starting with invisible jump rope and moving through switch heel with heel taps to the floor while keeping the core tight. Next are some interesting moves that I never saw before! But, I can tell you they warm up all the parts of your body. These insane moves range from pulling your knees up high to warm up the hip flexors and core, and backward knee pulls with a hand to floor. When it comes to fitness, stretching is the unsung hero. Although stretching does not get a lot of attention, stretching is critical towards achieving peak fitness condition. You should stretch both before and after your workout.
According to Tony Horton, creator of P90X extreme fitness program, flexibility is the “fountain of youth”. Without flexibility (like yoga and stretching), Tony says he would not be able to do the things he likes to do. Flexibility makes your body more durable and less vulnerable to injuries.When you are out there working out really hard, and you are not flexible, you are going to get hurt.
Over the years there have been conflicting reports on the benefits of stretching and warming up before working out. Some fitness pros argue that stretching before exercise can cause injury if not performed properly.
Beachbody fitness expert trainers say that stretching cannot and should not be overlooked. According to Debbie Sieber’s, creator of Slim in 6, It is so important to warm up sufficiently, especially when it’s colder outside. You are more prone to injury if you do not stretch before exercise.
Tony Horton says that what happens to a lot of people, especially in the United States, is they do not want to stretch because it’s BORING! it you take the time and have some patience, and do yoga and stretching, you will be less vulnueralbe to injury.

For many years, we witnessed a number of diet trends about what to eat and what to avoid. Now, the hottest new cooking trend has nothing to do with high heat. Instead, this trend keeps food raw. In face, new restaurants are popping up all over the place that offer healthy, raw food.
According to Missy Costello, Personal Chef, a raw food diet consists of foods that are not cooked at all. Raw veggies, raw nuts, fruit, raw legumes are super healthy! With raw foods, the live active enzymes are intact and the food is alive.
Missy Costello is a professional caterer and Tony Horton’s personal chef. She says a raw food diet is not for everyone but it’s very healthy. It also looks great on a plate. Keeping the food below 114 degrees F keeps the vibrant colors intact making it a feast for the eyes! Raw food is extremely healthy.
Michi’s Ladder is a guideline to help you eat healthy, fitness-friendly meals that is arranged in tiers. As you move downward on the tiers, you go from the best choices to the worst choices. If you look at Michi’s ladder, the tops tier is entirely raw vegg, legumes and fruit. Beachbody fitness program nutrition guides suggest you add more of these foods to your diet. With raw foods you get more nutrients and fewer calories which can help you with your body transformation and weight loss. It does take time to prepare raw food. So you’ll need to be very creative.
If you think a raw food diet is for you, Missy Costello suggests that you take it slow and find a balance between raw and cooked food. If you go too fast, it can wreak havoc on your stomach. Take baby steps! There is a balance you need to achieve with cooked and raw food.
Be aware that certain foods are best when cooked, such as raw meat, raw eggs, and raw milk.

P90X Chest and Back is 53 minutes of intense pushing and pulling. The first time I did this P90X DVD, I was really feeling the pain! Chest and back are two of your largest muscle groups so it can be a real struggle to get through this one.
My goal was get some nicely toned back muscles and healthy, strengthened chest muscles. This exercise routine consists of 12 exercises mostly done as pushups or pullups. There are just a couple performed with weights (dumbbells). Once the first set of 12 exercises is complete, you start all over again! Whew and ouch!
When I first started, I could barely do a few pushups on my knees – my arms were shaking! At the end of the 90 days, I could do up to 25 pushups on my knees and felt strong. You definitely have to pace yourself for this Chest and Back routine. If you give it all you got during the first set of 12, you won’t have much left for the second set of 12!
I stuck with the pushups on my knees for a couple of reasons: I have a foot injury that prevented me from putting too much pressure on it and also I was able to get a more intense workout on my knees.
For the back exercises I used the green resistance bands, equal to 40 pounds. I don’t have anywhere in the television room to put a P90X pullup bar so that was not an option for me. You can see from my results that the resistance bands definitely got the job done…nicely toned back muscles for me!
My favorite exercise is the Heavy Pants (performed with either resistance bands or dumbbells). I used the dumbbells, starting with 8 pounds and ending up with 12 pound weights at the end of my 90 days. The Back Flys were pretty hard for me. I started with 3 pound weights, worked my way to fives, and every now and again I can use eights.
Tony does a great stretch routine before the real pain begins. The most important thing about all these exercises is to use proper form while doing them. Do the pushups correctly. Try it in front of a mirror so you can be aware of your body’s positioning. Good form is how you will get the best workout. Keep lots of water around, you’ll need it.
Not only did I benefit from toned, strong muscles in my back, but I also improved my posture and eliminated my back pain. Why? Because now my muscles do the job of keeping my back upright instead of just my spine.

I am a big fan and user of glucosamine. Our bodies need glucosamine to produce glycosaminoglycan, a molecule used in the formation and repair of cartilage and other body tissues. Water is essential to good health. Did you know that water makes up 60 percent of your body weight? Your entire body depends on water in some way. Water flushes those nasty toxins out of your vital organs and carries nutrients to your cells.
What happens if you do not drink enough water? Dehydration! Have you had it? A mild case of water dehydration can make you very weak and tired. So be sure to drink lots of water in the heat!
Your body naturally loses water each day through normal bodily functions. Your job is to replace it! I abide by the 8 glasses (1.9 liters) of water per day rule, it works well for me. You can also judge if you have enough water by observing the color of your urine. It should be clear or a little yellow, and you should not feel thirsty.
If you are working out, make sure you drink water. You lose lots of water through sweat and need to replace it or you can get dehydrated.
Now that you decided to drink enough water each day to be healthy, the next controversial topic is the purity of your water. There is a lot of talk about how bottled water is not really filtered and no better than what you get from your water tap.
