Insanity by Shaun T success storyDoug is excited about Insanity 60-day total body conditioning program. With Insanity by Shaun T, Doug lost 30 pounds and 30 inches of body mass, including 6.5 inches around his waist. He was shocked when comparing his before and after photos. He feels like he is in his twenties again. And he is not yet done with Insanity!

In the 60 days since he started Shaun T’s Insanity, Doug says, “the real me come back out.” He used be athletic, playing sports in college. But then he got stuck behind a desk and was not in good shape. He is now 37 and feels 15 years younger. As tough as Insanity workouts like Plyometric Cardio Circuit, Max Interval Circuit, and Cardio Abs got, the workouts were still addicting. You don’t doubt you are losing weight in the workouts – sweat comes off you like a river.

Just because the 60 days are over, you can continue doing Insanity 60 day fitness program as long as you want.

Insanity is the hardest workout program ever put on DVD. Your personal trainer Shaun T will push you past your limits with 10 workout discs packed with plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and ab and core training moves. No equipment or weights needed. Just the will to get the hardest body you’ve ever had.

insanity-lloydIn the Army for 10 years, Lloyd thought he was fit. That was before Shaun T’s Insanity! On his very first day of Insanity, Lloyd was drenched in sweat and admitted that it was a very intense workout. Then he realized, all he had completed at that point was the warmup. In the Army he did physical training everyday. When he got home, he ate lots of home cooking and gained weight!

By the fourth week of Insanity, the warmup was finally feeling like a warmup instead of an intense workout. 60 days later, Lloyd lost 27 pounds, lots of inches, and had an entire lifestyle change. He was amazed when he looked at his before and after pictures. After surviving Insanity for 60 days, Lloyd feels great and can’t stop. He needs more Insanity. How about you?

6 ways to stop eating junk foodAre you a junk food junkie with a weakness for junk food that you can’t control? What is junk food? Junk food contributes little or no nutritional value to your diet. Instead, it contributes calories, fat, and makes you cranky. Making dietary changes in your life can be hard but you can do it. All it takes is a commitment by you to a healthier life. With that in mind, here are 6 tips to help you steer clear of junk food.

  1. If you find yourself eating too much fast food, save all your receipts for one week. Everyday, put your fast food receipts in safe place. At the end of the week, add up how much you spent on fast food. You may just be shocked at what you are spending on fast food. A couple of dollars here and there can easily add up to $50 or $100 per week. You can wean yourself off fast food by only spending half the amount the next week. Do the exercise again each week, cutting the amount spent each week in half until you get to zero. By then you should start feeling better and realize how much money you were throwing away on fatty food that made you cranky.
  2. Make a list of junk food you eat all the time. In an adjacent column, write down a healthy replacement snack for each item in your junk list. For example, if you wrote down Twinkies in the junk food column, you may want to replace it with strawberries and plain yogurt. Each week, pick one junk food and eat its replacement instead. Continue doing this until you are no longer eating the junk food but only the healthy replacements.
  3. Use visualization. Focus on how your life will change when you are no longer sugared up on junk foods. Focus on the changes: more energy, less cranky, more stamina, looking better, nicer skin, and so on.
  4. Do not buy junk food. Keep it out of your house. If you must have something sweet, walk to the nearest restaurant, sit down and order a single slice of cake or something else sweet. Take your time eating it, pay for it, and leave. Then go home.
  5. Eat breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day! Eating a good breakfast will help you curb your hunger during the day. Eat complex carbohydrates. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
  6. Join an online community where you find workout tools, community support, and customizable meal plans to help you make better choices. Click here to find out about two great ways to join the Team Beachbody community.
  7. What are your favorite ways for avoiding junk foods?

motivation to exerciseWhen you don’t feel like getting off your butt to exercise, where do you find the motivation to exercise? We all ask ourselves this question – you are not alone. You need to get past thinking about exercising and just do it.

There are many ways to motivate yourself to exercise. Some work better than others. I asked around to find out what motivates people to stick to their exercise programs. I took all those results and put together the top seven ways to motivate yourself to exercise.

  1. Make exercise a fun experience! Find an activity that is fun to do. Sure, you may think the cardio machines at the gym are dull as dishwater, but you can make the cardio machine experience more fun by listening  your favorite music or better yet, a great book on your iPod.Group fitness classes are designed to be fun. Try something new like kickboxing or dancing. You may even meet some new friends.
  2. Join an outdoor hiking group. Meet new people, get out in the great outdoors, get back to nature and burn up the calories all at the same time!
  3. Get an at-home fitness program like Hip Hop Abs by Shaun T, or Turbo Jam with Chalene Johnson. These are fun fitness programs that you can do at home that will definitely raise your energy levels and keep you interested.
  4. Use visualization. Visualize how you are going to look once you reach your goal of losing that 20 pounds or getting rock hard abs. Picture yourself running for 30 minutes and imagine how good you will feel.  If you can only do 10 pushups and you  want to do 15, start visualizing yourself doing 15 pushups. Picture yourself doing them and count each one in your mind. Visualization is used by many top athletes to get them past performance plateaus.
  5. Sign up for a 5K race. If you sign up for a 5K race you will have a certain date that you have to be ready to run or walk the race. This will give you a reason to train for something.
  6. Workout with a friend. Find a workout buddy that can help you stay accountable.
  7. Think about how awful you will feel if you don’t. Once you start exercising, you will experience the release of endorphins in your body which give you a natural high! How do you want to feel today? Yukky or energized?

Have you ever wondered how much time you waste thinking about exercising? Stop thinking about it and just do it?  Nothing will change unless you take control now and change it.
