After seeing other people’s results, I was excited to try the sample workout and see what Ten Rounds is all about! Here’s my review of Joel Freeman’s newest boxing workout.
What is 10 Rounds Workout?
10 Rounds workout is a home boxing program from Beachbody. Led by Super Trainer, Joel Freeman, the workout is built around precise and effective boxing principles. It’s designed to maximize your cardio burn and get lean & mean.
The 10 Rounds workout includes 3 days of boxing training and 2 weightlifting each week, for a total of 6 weeks.
Workouts Include the following:
- 2 Prep Workouts: 10-minute preparation workouts to help you get familiar with the footwork, punches, and resistance training moves. You’ll get everything you need to succeed with using proper technique.
- 30 Unique Workouts: You’ll do 3 boxing workouts and 2 resistance-training days each week, with 2 days off at your choosing. All workouts are 30–40 minutes and feature core exercises to get you shredded and lean.
Equipment you need:
- Light, medium, & heavy dumbbells (lifting workouts)
- 12” resistance loops (lifting & boxing workouts)
- Small towel (boxing workouts)

Review of 10 Rounds Workout
I did the sample workout to get a good idea of what’s included throughout the program. First, the day after I did the workout, I felt it! My arms and back has a distinct soreness that only comes from an incredible workout!
At the start Joel Freeman does a fantastic job of showing you exactly how to perform the move before going through the repetition of moves. By the time you complete a set, you will definitely get in the groove of the boxing techniques.
It was so much doing these 10 Rounds moves. I felt great and it was a nice departure from the typical workout.
You’ll move between slow and fast boxing techniques that will work all your upper body muscles and help your coordination.
Next, Joel takes you through some challenging weight training with dumbbells that also include stretching moves. Combined with pushups, lunges, and cardio moves, you’ll definitely be sweating through this sample workout.
I loved the variety of moves, but especially the unique exercises. My body definitely wasn’t used to these exercises and it was challenging but felt amazing.
Joel is an excellent trainer and kept me motivated through the 10 Rounds workout.
I recommend that you at least try 10 Rounds if you want a unique workout that is designed for real results.
